The
Good Samaritan
Saw
a woman with a little boy
Asleep in her lap probably from being bored
But I was hurrying to meet my bundle of joy
Left her neglected and ignored
So it's like we all pass by on the other side
Getting what we want though it maybe unfair
Yes, we all pass by on the other side
We see the poor and needy but we just don't care
Have
you ever been down to Leicester Square
There's a group of guys there - that's where they live
I pretended that I was unaware
Told myself I had no change to give.
So it's like we all pass by...etc.
A man with a notice saying "broke and homeless"
Face red and raw from the open air
I told myself, he'llspend the money on drink
But he's drinking to drown his sense of failure
so it's like we all pass by...etc
Where's
the good Samaritan these days
Oh, no not me, you can count me out
I'm just an ordinary guy with bills to pay
Trying his best to keep afloat
And like others I pass by on the other side
Getting what I want though it maybe unfair
In this world no-onegets a free ride
If you fall by the wayside others don't care
Yes you can bet your boots if you have any
Others don't care
