Happy
Times
I
shouldn't feel so sad today
When everything is going my way
and I'm getting all the love I could ever ask for
But sometimes I feel I have no ties
And I see my life go drifting by
And every day I'm getting older faster
And
I think of all those happy times
All those happy times, all those happy times
when I was with her
All those happy times, all those happy times
All those happy times
When we were together
Oh
I know with you I get on fine
We think and feel along similar lines
And it doesn't look like we're ever going to part
But sometimes I think about the past
And I wonder if our love will last
And it gives me such an aching in my heart
And
I think of all those happy times...etc
It's not that I haven't got over being without her
Just that every so often I can't help but think about her
And those happy times, oh, happy happy times
Her
hand's no longer on my plough
She's just a stranger to me now
We've branched apart and gone our separate ways
But like the branches of a tree
We're joined in a reality
That reaches back much deeper than these days
And
I think of all those happy times...etc
